KFP Master Tigress and her Brother Takato

An new Chapter Part 1


Tigress:
“A sparring, you say? And you’re skilled in Kung Fu?” She, calm and collected like always, but a bit wary, analyzed his body shape. She had never seen a wolf that looked like this. He had almost the same height as Tigress, making her wonder as to who he was.

Takato:
“I think so. That’s why I’m here today, and because rumors say that the Mighty
Tigress is one of the best Fighters in China! “He announced with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. “So I’m hoping to get a… taste of your Tiger-Kung Fu style” he said, with a faint grin on his lips.

Background:
It was early in the morning. Viper and Po were on the way to the training ground, when they spotted a strange black wolf in the distance. He whispered to Viper. “We’d better wait for Tigress, Monkey and Crane before we follow him. Mantis is still on his mission, right?” Viper glanced over at him. “Uhh… yes! He’s still on his mission, but Tigress is already at the training ground. Po, you know that she doesn’t eat much breakfast like you?” *She smiles politely* Po looked straight at her. “HEY! You know, big warriors have to eat big portions before they fight! “As if chiming in, Po´s stomach rumbled loudly. Viper held her tail in front of her mouth to muffle her giggle. Po looked down at his belly, thinking *We’ll talk about this later!*. He bumped his fists together and walked in the direction of the training ground. “C’mon Viper, let’s see what’s up there! “.

Tigress:
“So, you seem very confident, and it would be a nice alternation to my standard training with the dummies!” She smiles slightly. “Would you prefer a fight with weapons, or hand to hand combat? “

Takato:
First looking straight into her eyes, which would have made Tigress worried if she had known him, Takato then looked at his paws. “Well, I think hand to hand combat would be fine for now. We wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt here, right?” *He poured venom into the last sentence, and laid some force on the “right”.

Background:
Po and Viper were close to the training ground, and Po, upon seeing that this unknown wolf was going into a fight pose, he yelled towards the snake. “Viper, come on! Argh, these stairs... it looks like Tigress might be getting into some trouble, get ready!”

Tigress:
She looked very thoughtfully at the strange wolf, but in a way that he couldn’t notice, she was clearing her mind, and in an instant, she was focused. “Okay, then. Let me see if your confidence is justified at this point!“ her voice was totally calm and cool, and she slipped into the fight greeting Pose “Ready!” then she changed into her fighting-ground position.

Takato:
The wolf, his face cold and unyielding as stone, followed the same pattern as Tigress, getting first into his greeting position, and said “Ready!” then he swapped like Tigress into his fighting-ground position. Tigress studied him and opened her eyes wide, as she noticed that the position he took was a modified version of her own tiger-style.

Po:
He leaped into the scene and spotted Tigress in her attacking-position, and also this unknown person who had a similar position. He charged straight into the black wolf, yelling “Yargh! We’ll save you Tigress! Hold on!” Takato changed his position into a normal stance in the face of the large panda bearing down on him. He leaped a step back and stuck out his foot, catching Po at the ankle. Po flipped head over heels and tumbled onto the ground beside Takato.

Tigress:
She tried to stop Po, but it was already too late, and she could only follow with her eyes as Po tumbled onto the ground. Tigress ran over to Po and looked down on him, putting a paw over her eyes and shaking her head slowly.
Background:
Viper had stopped at the training ground entrance and was listening only to the scenery.

Po:
He looked a bit ashamed. “You weren’t in danger, right?” Her only reaction was to continue shaking her head.

Takato:
He stared at Tigress and Po, completely calm.

Tigress:
She sighed and glanced over at Takato. “I have to apologize for the Dragon Warrior. He...” Tigress halted midsentence as Takato lifted his arm.

Takato:
He moved in front of Po and shifted into the Kung Fu greeting position. “I’m honored to meet you, O Dragon Warrior. Tigress!” he looked to her as Po slowly got to his feet. “Please don’t apologize, it must have looked like I was about to attack you! Nothing happened, it’s alright. He only was a bit too... fast.” he smiled politely, but there was something else in his smile. Something unsettling.

Tigress:
She noticed his odd smile but didn’t remark at it, saying only “Yes, our Dragon Warrior is always fast in his thinking…”

Po:
He felt utterly ashamed. He greeted Takato back. “I´m so sorry about that... and that I attacked you… please continue.” He slowly shuffled off the arena and stood in the nearest corner.

Viper:
“Aww, Po, please don’t look like that, you had good intensions!” She got up on his body and gave Po a hug.

Tigress:
“Now... again.” She shifted back into her old position and analyzed his ground position. *A modified Tiger Style?! Impossible! I developed it, that can’t be... who is he?!* She blazed into her fighting pose. “Ready!”

Takato:
He did the same, and Tigress closely studied him as he again moved into his Tiger-Style stance. “Ready!”

Po:
He eagerly watched the fight and thought to himself. * Ooh, I wouldn’t want to take his place…* he thought about some sparring matches with Tigress, and how he would constantly be getting acupuncture needles from Mantis afterwards.

Viper:
She did a double take as she saw that the stranger had taken a Tiger-Style stance. *That can’t be, I thought that Tigress was the only one who knew how to use that pose...*

Background:
Monkey was performing cleanup work, assigned to clean the Jade Palace that week.
Tigress and Takato were facing each other and no one moved for several seconds, absolutely frozen. Then, she plunged into motion and sliced her arm through the air.

Takato:
He noticed that she was trying to strike first and attacked her immediately.
Tigress:
She caught the incoming attack and reversed her move in the blink of an eye, drawing in both arms into a defense stance.



The fight:
Takato moved first. He slammed his fist into Tigress’ open palm, the sheer force of the strike shoving her back. It seemed to Viper and Po that the only purpose of the attack was to show Tigress his strength. Tigress herself was not as calm as before, and she noticed that a direct hit from his strength would result in serious damage to her. Now was the moment to counter his attack. Tigress snatched at his punch and grabbed his paw, holding him down. Takato stared into her eyes, dissecting her with his gaze, but she knew what he had planned. He had the same moves as her, after all. She kicked forcefully to his exposed right side but he was able to stop her leg just in time with his left arm. The raw power of the kick was enough to show Takato that she could match him, as the power of her kick sent Takato skidding to the left. He closed his other paw around her leg, stopping it cold, mirroring the way that she held his paw.

Takato:
“It seems to me that we’re at an impasse.” His voice was calm and devoid of emotion, but a faint hint of stress could be heard.

Tigress:
She was confused, and a little bit terrified. “How did you learn these moves?! Who are you?!”

Background:
Po and Viper both glanced nervously at each other, prepared to take action if the fight got too serious.

Takato:
He glanced over at Viper and Po to see if they would interfere. “Perhaps if you win this fight I will tell-AHH!”

The Fight:
Tigress took advantage of her distracted opponent and struck him with a secret Tiger-Style palm punch to his chest. Her punch didn’t even touch him. The compressed air in it was enough to force him 2 meters back, but he didn’t fall. He stared straight at her.

Takato:
“That was a good punch. I never expected that you’d learn it on your own!” he was smiling with a hint of humor as he set into a new stance, which was similar to her palm punch stance but still somewhat different.

Viper:
She looked to Po and whispered to him. “This... can’t be, his stance is flawless compared to Tigress´s stance…”

Po:
He began to get worried and looked back at Viper. “I think we might have to interfere...”

Tigress:
She stared at him in horror, seeing mirror images of herself as he effortlessly duplicated her stances. *Who is he?!*

Takato:
Unlike Tigress, he was completely calm and at ease. He strafed sideways, positioning himself directly in front of a row of iron wood. He released in a loud gasp “Secret Tiger –Style Roar of the Tiger!“ The iron wood in front of him 5 meters away sheared in half. ”This is what would have happened if you had mastered the technique.” He moved back into a defense pose. *Lucky for me she hasn’t mastered it...*

Backgrounds:

Po and Viper stood there, watching the scene with mild concern.

Tigress:
She left her fighting stance. “Who are you?! Where did you learn all this?! Tell me!” She was clearly worried and afraid.

Takato:
Sighed, and mimicking Tigress, left his fighting stance. He looked to the ground and spoke. “Didn’t I tell you?” He smiled again and looked up at her. “Maybe I’ll tell you… if you can beat me! My beautiful little sister! Now enough talking, let’s go!” He grinned and shifted once more into his fighting stance.

Tigress:
She couldn’t believe it. How could he have the same moves as her?, Sister? Then she saw his eyes. They shone red, mirroring her own. *This… can’t be...* Tigress froze in a mix of horror and confusion at the same time, and then she snapped out of her stupor and moved into her own fighting stance. *Nonetheless, I have to beat him to get answers...* She was afraid of what secrets the wolf might hold, but she was not afraid of a fight. She fast circled around Takato, as he just stood there, tracking her and smiling…
